AUGUST ASTROLOGY FORECAST 2024
WELCOME TO August!
AUGUST IS QUITE UMM….WILD. UNHINGED EVEN. BUT I THINK UNHINGED IN A GOOD WAY! WEIRDLY ENOUGH COMING OFF OF JULY WHICH WAS SOOO MATURE AND IMPORTANT FOR OUR GROWTH AND EVEN GRIEVING, AUGUST FEELS YOUNG AND EVEN JUVENILE IN NATURE. THE UNPREDICTABLE, REBELLIOUS, YET INCREDIBLY AHEAD OF ITS YEARS COLLEGE STUDENT OF 2024. EVEN WRITING THIS FORECAST I LISTENED TO MY 2014 PLAYLIST FROM THE SUMMER AFTER SOPHOMORE YEAR AND FELT THE SAME ENERGY (CHARLI XCX IN MY EAR ENCOURAGING “I DONT WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL I JUST WANT TO BREAK THE RULES”). THERE IS A PLAYFULNESS TO AUGUST, A FCK IT WE BALL ENERGY MORE THAN ANY OTHER TIME OF THE YEAR. A LIBERATION, A NEW CHOICE, A LITTLE CRAY. EMBRACE IT, DON’T PUSH IT AWAY! A LOT IS GOING TO CRACK OPEN SO THE LIGHT CAN SHINE EVEN BRIGHTER. AND REMEMBER AS WORLD EVENTS HAPPEN WE ARE THE LEADERS WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR AND THAT’S WHY WE CAME TO CREATE AND ANCHOR THE NEW PARADIGM.

August 4th, 2024 – New Moon In Leo
On August 4th, 2024, we have a New Moon at 12° Leo.
This is a beautiful New Moon that is sextile Mars and Jupiter in Gemini. Leo New Moons are always about connecting to our hearts desire and passion, even creativity and life force energy so I find it to be one of the most important moons each year.
With a lovely little sextile to Jupiter and Mars we’re being asked to participate in the magic and opportunities opening up to us! What new stories are you writing about creative life force energy? Where are you feeling newly inspired?
August 5th, 2024 – Mercury Goes Retrograde
On August 5th, 2024, Mercury goes retrograde at 4° Virgo.
Mercury retrogrades get a bad rep but I personally find them to be really helpful in terms of relooking at things, reflecting, redoing, and renewing. This time Mercury starts in the sign of its domicile Virgo so it’s a pretty classic Mercury Rx. Leave extra room for travel, be mindful with your electronics, and double check your emails.
On the plus side with Neptune retrograde in Pisces and Saturn retrograde in Pisces this is a great time to be tapping into wisdom that CAN’T be clearly communicated and articulated. So non mercurials might feel right at home.
August 5th, 2024 – Venus Enters Virgo
On August 5th, 2024, Venus enters Virgo.
Venus is not always the most comfortable in Virgo but it IS productive! That being said some of the most famous beauty and wealth icons are Venus in Virgos. I don’t find this surprising considering it’s all about improving things and looking at those details. How can you embrace that energy of healthy perfectionism without going overboard and only nit picking?
August 7th, 2024 – Mercury Conjunct Venus
On August 7th, 2024, Mercury is conjunct Venus at 3° Virgo.
Here we have a conversation of the heart. What is your heart communicating about love, beauty, finances, all the Venusian things your mind can hear in new ways?
Also again this may be a super classic Mercury Rx where you hear from an ex or a past romantic situation/relationship may come into view more, just go with it and explore if this is something you want more of now or it’s best to leave in the past.
August 14th, 2024 – Mars Conjunct Jupiter
On August 14th, 2024, Mars is conjunct Jupiter at 16° Gemini.
Mars conjunct Jupiter is an extra burst of creative, mental, social energy in chatty and quick footed Gemini! What flash of an opportunity or door opening is showing up for you? This is one of those transits that may feel a little chaotic in the moment or a little all over the place but just lean into the power of that instead of pushing it away for something more orderly. Have fun!
August 19th, 2024 – Jupiter Square Saturn
On August 19th, 2024, Jupiter (at 17° Gemini) is square Saturn (at 17° Pisces).
One of the MOST anticipated moments of 2024, the Jupiter Saturn square has arrived! (And YEP it’s directly during the DNC in the USA because America can’t help but be dramatic af during her Pluto Return chapter) .
Jupiter in Gemini square Saturn in Pisces is all about some kind of empathic or humanitarian frustration (Saturn in Pisces) leading to innovation and invention (Jupiter in Gemini).
This may at first create a feeling of processing the gap between what we dream of and what’s possible but we ourselves get to fill that gap with our creativity and ingenuity! I think of the phrase necessity is the mother of invention with this one.
People may be extra frustrated or short sighted during this transit if they don’t know it’s happening but try to come back to YOUR reality and what YOU’RE creating.
We are the leaders we have been waiting for. This transit only happens every 10 years so it’s always a large cultural moment. It is also the first meet up of Jupiter and Saturn since the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Aquarius and new Jupiter Saturn cycle so it will continue the story that started with that (also historical) moment.
August 19th, 2024 – Full Moon In Aquarius
On August 19th, 2024, we have a Full Moon at 27° Aquarius.
The Full Moon is opposite Mercury retrograde (at 26° Leo) and tightly square Uranus (at 27° Taurus).
This Full Moon may feel extra intense. BREATHE. It’s shaking things up for a reason. We can’t continue the way we have been and there’s a BETTER way forward both Aquarius and Uranus are trying to show us along with the reflection the opposition to Mercury Rx in Leo brings.
Go back to your inner creative potential. Rediscover your heart’s calling. Greet the chaos, don’t shove it away (again, we see a theme this month). Chaos is needed to create anything. That’s literally how the universe was formed. We need a big bang every now and then.

On August 22nd, 2024, the Sun enters Virgo. Happy birthday to all the control freak a leaks!
August 29th, 2024 – Mercury Goes Direct
On August 29th, 2024, Mercury goes direct at 21° Leo.
Mercury goes direct in heart-centered Leo and finally we are able to express ourselves (maybe quite boldly and loudly) in a way we couldn’t before.

August 29th, 2024 – Venus Enters Libra
On August 29th, 2024, Venus enters her home sign, Libra.
We end the month on a high note as Venus enters her home sign Libra! This is where the year starts getting JUICY.
She will immediately form a trine with Pluto in Aquarius at 0 degrees and a kite pattern with Uranus and Neptune. How can you both honor your hearts deepest desires and be open to new paths on how you’ll experience and manifest them?
