October Astrology Forecast 2023
WELCOME TO OCTOBER!
THIS MONTH IS…WILD. THIS MIGHT BE THE MOST ACTIVE ASTROLOGICALLY OF ALL THE MONTHS IN 2023 AND I HAVE A FEELING OCTOBER WILL FEEL LIKE IT’S FLYING BY! FROM STARTING OFF THE MONTH WITH A MARS-SOUTH NODE CONJUNCTION IN LIBRA (DURING WHAT IS NORMALLY “CUFFING SEASON”) TO 2 ECLIPSES MIDDLE TO END THERE IS A LOT TO TAKE IN, PROCESS, LET GO, AND BEGIN. WE MIGHT BE TEMPTED INTO PAST PATTERNS, ESPECIALLY IN THE VENUSIAN REALMS OF RELATIONSHIP, MONEY, VALUES, AND BEAUTY BUT BECAUSE IT’S JUST NOT QUITE CLICKING THE SAME WE’RE SORT OF LOVINGLY SHOVED INTO THE MARTIAN ARIES/SCORPIO WAY OF DOING THINGS.
YOU MIGHT SEE BUSINESS OWNERS DOING SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THEY’VE NEVER TOUCHED BEFORE, THE FRIEND WHO IS PERPETUALLY TAKEN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HER LIFE SINGLE FOR A WHILE, AND JUST A GREATER DISCERNMENT OVERALL FOR WHAT WE ACTUALLY WANT TO SPEND OUR DAYS DOING AND WHO WITH.
(AND AS A LIBRA MOON I WOULD BE REMISS NOT TO ASK YOU TO BE A LITTLE MORE GENTLE AND PATIENT WITH YOUR VENUSIAN PLACEMENT FRIENDS (LIBRA AND TAURUS), WE’RE UNDERGOING THE MOST CHANGES OF ALL. THIS ALSO DOESN’T MEAN LEAVE US ALONE COMPLETELY–PLEASE DON’T DO THAT–BECAUSE THAT’S NOT CORRECT EITHER, JUST ALLOW A LITTLE EXTRA GRACE WHEN IT COMES TO OUR CAPACITY TO GIVE. October 4th, 2023 - Mercury Enters Libra and the South Node Conjuncts with Mars in Libra
On October 4th, 2023, Mercury enters Libra and the South Node conjuncts with Mars in Libra.
Mercury entering Libra makes our communication much more diplomatic. It’s a great time to continue to check off everything on the to do list from Mercury’s retrograde in Virgo. This might also be a good time to have a conversation that ends in a win-win.
On the same day Mars conjuncts the South Node in Libra as well though. So this might make us a little extra tired, stir up some dreams, or activate letting go of something. Especially if you have Libra placements be very gentle with yourself and carve out alone time/be mindful of how much you’re giving to others.
October 9th, 2023 - Venus Enters Virgo
On October 9th, 2023, Venus enters Virgo.
After 4 months of Venus in Leo we are moving forward to Venus in Virgo!
While Venus moves through Virgo she will be trining Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto! So it’s a great time to see to practical matters in the realms of beauty, love, money, relationships, and values.
October 11th, 2023 - Pluto Goes Direct
On October 11th, 2023 Pluto goes direct at 27° Capricorn.
This is actually a little wild to be writing because this is the LAST time Pluto will be in Capricorn in our lifetimes.
As it makes it’s way through the end of Capricorn, cycles will be wrapped up we’ve been in the process of exploring since 2008.
From now until when Pluto goes into Aquarius in January, pay extra attention to what comes up to be released FOR GOOD. This is a really deep purging, clearing, and healing occurring on both an individual and collective level.
October 12th, 2023 - Mars Enters Scorpio
On October 12th, 2023, Mars enters its home sign, Scorpio.
Mars loves being in Scorpio. Here it can not only go after what it wants but also deeply transmute and transform what stands in its way along the way.
This is extra nice to have during Halloween season too, it adds a flavor that make things feel a little extra dark and spooky in a good way.
October 14th, 2023 - New Moon Solar Eclipse In Libra
On October 14th, 2023 we have a New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse at 21° Libra. This is a South Node Eclipse and is conjunct Mercury, square Pluto and quincunx Uranus in Taurus. This eclipse is also conjunct fixed star Spica.
The Closing Time lyrics “every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end” fit eclipses like these the best I think. Because while we are ending things with it being a South Node Eclipse new seeds are also being planted as a New Moon.
It might feel a little more internal too versus having some huge external event. This is also the first eclipse we’re having on Aries-Libra axis while the North and South Node are there so it’s good to pay attention to what comes up you might be exploring these themes a while longer.
October 20th, 2023 - Sun Conjunct Mercury in Libra
On October 20th, 2023, Sun is conjunct Mercury at 26° Libra.
This is a day where inspiration, ideas, downloads, forward progress may flood in especially in the Libra ruled realms like relationships. However Pluto is squaring this conjunction so for some it might look like breaking things off or saying goodbye—knowing that is what is best.
October 22nd-23rd, 2023 - Mercury And The Sun Enter Scorpio
On October 22nd, 2023, Mercury enters Scorpio, and the next day, the Sun joins.
Happy birthday Scorpios!
While Mercury is in Scorpio our thoughts and communication get deeper. This is the perfect time for a great therapy session, astrology deep dive, or honest conversation to take place.
October 28th, 2023 - Full Moon Eclipse In Taurus
On October 28th, 2023 we have a Full Moon and North Node Lunar Eclipse at 5° Taurus. The Eclipse is conjunct Jupiter in Taurus and opposing Mercury and Mars in Scorpio.
This is the very LAST of the eclipses in Taurus we will see. While not as potent as the ones that came before while the North Node was in Taurus it’s still important to pay attention to. Again to wrap up a cycle but do so through some new understanding or new path forward.
This is an excellent time to review how you’ve changed since the first Taurus eclipse in this cycle back in November 2021 (seriously! all that way back). What did that bring up for you around that time and how have you moved forward.
While opportunities and luck may be expanded with the Jupiter conjunction here the opposition to Mercury and Mars while slow down the progress or communication of it.
During this eclipse, the ruler of Taurus Venus will be in a grand trine with Uranus and Pluto though. So there are many auspicious things as play here it might just take a while to see the bigger picture of it all fitting together or feel different than you expected.
October 29th, 2023 - Mercury Conjunct Mars In Scorpio
On October 29th, 2023, Mercury is conjunct Mars at 11° Scorpio.
This is the culmination of that deep diving, truth seeking energy we’ve been getting from both Mars and Mercury in Scorpio all month just coming together. Don’t be afraid to go there and do some detective work.
This month is sure to be one to remember. You might like to keep a journal or go back and look at what the past Taurus-Scorpio eclipse cycle taught you and what Aries-Libra is building on top of that to understand the bigger picture better. Enjoy!
