POESÍA THAT HEALS WITH VERENICE ZUNIGA

Today we welcome Verenice Zuniga. Verenice is a poet, actor, environmentalist, and Xicana activist currently living in Los Angeles. She is the voice behind Cafecito Con Poesía on Instagram where through poetry she explores topics such as intersectional feminism, identity, radical self-love, and the human-nature connection as a tool for healing. In this episode we discuss COVID-19 and the treatment of essential workers, the identity of women of color in society, and of course the healing power of poetry on her soul (re)discovery path.
